TWO CARE homes in South East Cornwall have been sold to new owners, making them the largest owners of privately run nursing and residential homes in Cornwall.

Tregertha Court Residential Home in Looe and St Theresa's Nursing Home in Callington, have been sold by Christie and Co to the Morleigh Group.

Morleigh Group directors Steve and Trisha Juleff now own seven care homes in total, and Malcolm Freeland, who bought the homes in the 1980s, has now retired from the care sector.

John Crocker, of Christie and Co in Exeter, said: "Having dealt with Malcolm in the 1980s, we were delighted he came to us with instructions to sell the homes after nearly 30 years.

"Steve and Trisha Juleff of Morleigh Group plan to upgrade and improve the offerings at both homes in the months ahead."
