WIND and relentless rain did not deter the stalwart supporters attending the annual coffee morning to raise funds for the Children's Hospice South West and CLIC – Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood.

This has been held for more than 30 years in memory of Boscastle teenager Adrian Ferrett.

Bernice Lewis opened her bungalow in Paradise Road to allow four rooms to be rearranged to accommodate various stalls including home-made cooking, gifts for all ages, a variety of books, bric-a-brac and 'guess the name of a teddy bear'.

A hall table displayed the many quality donated items for the raffle.

Vivienne Hircock and Marion Ferrett thanked Bernice, the helpers, those who generously gave items and donations, and also the spenders. "It was a happy moment in Paradise, which raised £262," said Marion.
