ST STEPHEN'S Jonathan Fox is among three swimmers from Cornwall who have been included in the Great Britain squad for the Paralympics in London later this year.

Matthew Whorwood and Ben Procter's places in the Great Britain squad were confirmed this week.

Fox, 21, a member of Newquay Cormorants, had already been selected among 16 swimmers in April, based on slots earned at the IPC World Swimming Championships.

Now the British Paralympic Association has confirmed 26 others – including 22-year-olds Whorwood and Procter, who have also swum for the Cormorants – who were named in April as selected subject to confirmation of slots by the IPC Swimming.

The Paralympics take place between August 29 and September 9.
