THE COMMUNITY Centre in Lostwithiel is set to benefit to the tune of £600 thanks to a sponsorship deal with phone and broadband provider TalkTalk.

The money will go towards redecoration and new equipment and is a significant boost for the centre, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2013.

John Gilbert, chairman of trustees at Lostwithiel Community Centre, said: "It is difficult for charities in these climes and this welcome boost from TalkTalk will enable us to carry on with our refurbishment plans."

Tristia Clarke, commercial director at TalkTalk, spoke in praise of the role the Community Centre plays in the area: "TalkTalk is delighted to be supporting the centre over the coming months."

She added: "By investing in the exchange in Lostwithiel we will be able to bring our great value offers to even more families in the area."

TalkTalk is rolling out its Next Generation Network in the locale, providing fast and reliable broadband and exclusive HomeSafe™ surf security services. The Next Generation Network covers Lostwithiel, Downend, Lanlivery, Lerryn and Fairy Cross.
