BODMIN police are warning residents to be extra vigilant after a spate of daytime burglaries.

Properties in Lanivet, Kirland, Nanstallon, Copshorn Road and Queens Crescent are among those targeted.

A police spokesman said: "Can we ask that members of the public remain vigilant and if they see anybody walking with large holdalls, particularly in rural areas, to notify the police.

"The burglaries are occurring during the day with entry being gained by smashing windows away from public view."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Bodmin CID on 101.
