A SECURITY guard working at a Newquay holiday park has been found without a valid licence in the latest in a series of crackdowns by authorities.
Investigators from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) inspected operatives working in the resort on Saturday.
They carried out checks on door staff, town marshals and security staff.
In total, 25 sites including licensed premises, adventure parks, factories and holiday parks, were visited, including premises in Wadebridge and Redruth, to test compliance and gather information about security provision in the area.
Out of the 44 individuals inspected, 43 people were correctly licensed.
One individual was found working at a holiday park in Newquay without holding a valid licence.
Four other workers in Newquay were also given warnings for breaching SIA licence conditions by either failing to display their licence, or failing to notify the SIA of a change in their address.
One local security supplier will also be contacted regarding the misuse of the SIA logo on their signage.
