A TEENAGER escaped with minor injuries after falling 12ft from a St Austell building.
Firefighters, police officers and paramedics were scrambled to Biddicks Court at about 9.45pm on Monday night last week.
A Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "One appliance from St Austell Fire Station successfully rescued a young man who had climbed onto the roof of a building and had then fallen approximately 12ft below."
Firefighters used equipment including a triple extension ladder to rescue the teenager.
A Devon and Cornwall police spokesman said the force received the call at 9.50pm after the teenager, believed to be aged 16, fell from the building after climbing on to the roof.
"It appears he climbed up a ladder, walked across the roof and then fell off. It looks like he has simply lost his footing," the spokesman added.
Paramedics checked the teenager at the scene, and discovered he had suffered superficial bruising.
He was returned home to his family in Wadebridge.
