PLANS to build seven terraced cottages on the site of Newquay's iconic Corisande Manor have been opposed by the town council's planning committee.

Members said they were unhappy that excavation work had already begun, without proper approval.

    It's a pity the town planning committee didn't oppose the forthcoming developments by Duke of Cornwall which will involve several thousand houses. Never to late to wake up though.
