A CORNISH political party has taken its campaign to Truro's Lemon Quay.

Mebyon Kernow members are calling for a law-making Cornish assembly and greater decision-making powers for Cornwall.

Stephen Richardson, prospective parliamentary candidate for Truro and Falmouth, said: "There were several things in particular that pleased me on Saturday.

"Firstly, I got to meet and listen to the concerns of the people of the Truro and Falmouth constituency and it's obvious that there is a clear groundswell of opinion that Cornwall gets a raw deal from Westminster.

"It was great to meet lots of new Mebyon Kernow activists and the icing on the cake was the number of young people taking up the Mebyon Kernow cause."

The event was the first event in a roadshow to be held across Cornwall and the group gathered 200 signatures in support of a Cornish assembly.

This is a bit like the Irish EU vote a couple of years back......they had to keep voting until they got the answer the EU wanted, just typical of MK!
