ST AUSTELL lost a thrilling third round tie at Poltair Park on Friday night, as Launceston fought back from two goals down with five minutes to go to run out 5-3 winners after extra-time.

Mike Body opened the scoring for the Lillywhites and defender Martin Giles headed in a second to put the hosts seemingly in control. The Clarets hit back through Sam Scott's brilliantly taken free-kick to reduce the arrears to 2-1 just before half-time.

But Body scored his second goal of the night to restore St Austell's two-goal lead.

Launceston pulled a goal back after 87 minutes, this time through Sam Davey, and the same player dramatically sent the game into extra time with a last minute penalty after being fouled in the box.

St Austell found themselves trailing for the first time six minutes into extra time as Liam Tilley made it 4-3, before Dan Parke made sure of victory in the 118th minute.
