Labour will make the fight against unemployment Europe's number one priority. We will invest in a re- industrialisation programme focused on innovation, research and training, as is already happening at Tremough and Pool Innovation Centres.
We will not tolerate the policy of "Pain for people – billions for banks". We will fight for a Europe that leaves no citizen behind and redress attacks on public services such as health, education and housing.
Labour supports a Europe that respects everyone's rights and obligations. Our citizens deserve to live safe, healthy and happy lives. Food quality, safe consumer products and the right to the protection of personal data and information should be guaranteed.
Labour is committed to respecting and empowering local and national governments. The EU must continue the fight against climate change and promote investment in the green economy, renewable energy and smart technology.
Labour wants a Europe that stands up for fairness; a Europe that stands up for and supports all consumers and employers who invest in, and develop their workforce; and Labour wants a Europe that tackles pollution and climate change.
