MEMBERS of the Polbathic Players gathered at the Copley Arms in Hessenford to hand over £564 to the Children's Hospice South West's Precious Lives Appeal.

Member David Cormack said: "This represented the whole profit from a special charity performance of The Ice Queen And The Wizard's Thingy.

"The demolition of Polbathic Hall commences on October 3 and the players have decided not to stage a pantomime in February 2012," he said. "They are saddened by the prospect of saying goodbye to the old building but are very excited about the prospect of performing in the new hall in due course."
