FOWEY kept up the pressure at the top of the first division with a convincing 6-0 home win over third from bottom Bodmin.

The goals were shared around with Alex Woodcock, Josh Frampton, Frank McAvoy, Rory Barnacle, Jamie Martin and Luke Giles all getting themselves on the scoresheet.

The victory saw Fowey pull two points clear of second placed Edgcumbe, who were held to a 1-1 draw at Roche with Craig Coad on target for Roche while Andy Humphries replied for the visitors.

At the bottom of the table, Nanpean slumped to their 11th defeat in 11 league games when they crashed 12-0 away to Plymstock, whose goals came from Ryan Knight (4), Ryan Campbell (3), Kenny Speare (3), Ricky Harris and Ruben Kane.

Mevagissey extended their unbeaten record with a 5-2 win at Camelford with a couple of goals from Richard James while Chris Dingle and Adam Trudgian were also on target along with an own goal. Kyle Flew and Mark Gusterson replied for Camelford.

Probus won 3-2 at home to Bude with goals from James Noble, Liam Paddock and Paul Cox while Scott Percy and Wayne Jeffery were the Bude marksmen.

The match between Holsworthy and St Blazey was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

THE only midweek match saw St Austell win 1-0 at home to Probus in the first division on Wednesday evening with a goal from Phil Dingle.
