MILLBROOK face a hectic festive period with two matches in three days as they catch up on a backlog of fixtures in the premier division, writes Graham Hambly.
They will look to continue their recent good form when they meet Torpoint at Jenkins Park on Boxing Day morning (11am) and then make the short trip to Liskeard on Saturday afternoon.
The only other Boxing Day fixture is the local derby between North Cornwall rivals Morwenstow and Kilkhampton, which kicks off at 11.30am.
There are only four premier division matches on Saturday with leading sides Saltash United and Torpoint Athletic having a day off, giving title rivals Plymouth Parkway the chance to make up some leeway with a visit to bottom of the table St Teath.
St Dominick will be hoping to ease their relegation worries with a home match against Bere Alston while Polperro face a testing visit to Elburton Villa.
Meanwhile, Callington will be looking to book their place in the quarter-finals of the Rowett Insurance League Cup on Saturday with a second round tie at home to first division Roche.
Launceston are at home to Wadebridge in the first round of the Fred Binks Premier Division Cup with a quarter-final tie against Bere Alston awaiting the winners.
The big match in the first division will be at Fowey Community College were there will be a clash of the top two teams with Fowey at home to Edgcumbe in a fixture which could have an important bearing in the race for the title.
It will be an ideal opportunity for one of the championship contenders to put some distance between themselves and the chasing pack as close rivals Plymstock are without a game while Roche are involved in league cup action.
