BEN Skinner successfully defended his title to be crowned European Champion in Estoril, Portugal last week.
This is the Cornishman's tenth European Longboard title over recent years. The Tour saw Ben win the first event in his home waters of Watergate Bay, winning again at the second event in Morocco before winning the entire competition in Portugal.
Adam Griffiths finished second overall, proving the dominance of the UK longboarding team.
Ben was understandably delighted with the result.
He said: "It was a fiercely competitive tour and I'm proud that the UK team did so well. It's a brilliant result for the young guns. Bring on next year."
As well as being sponsored by O'Neill and 100%, Ben is sponsored by Skinner's Brewery, and is the inspiration behind their popular 'Skindog' draught Cornish lager. His father Steve runs the award winning Truro brewery and taught Ben to surf at the tender age of three. Ben was nine years old when he began to compete.
In 2009, Ben won every domestic contest in the UK. He also won three European Titles in the same year and was the first person ever to do so.
His list of titles is impressive. He has been crowned multiple English Champion, multiple British Champion and multiple European Champion. Ben is also a former second in the world and has been voted Best Ever British Longboarder.
