STUDENTS in Liskeard enjoyed a performance by the Pearl of Africa Children's Choir.
The choir, which raises money to improve the health, education and welfare of people suffering through disease, war and poverty in Uganda, performed at Liskeard School and Community College.
Donna Bryant, head teacher at the school, said: "The choir is simply inspirational.
"Our students learned a great deal from their visit, not just in the dance, music and craft workshops but also by spending time with people from another culture.
"The choir explained to them about the things they value: how much their children value education and long to go to school and how they recycle everything – one choir member was wearing scandals made from worn-out tyres."
