A MOTORCYCLIST suffered a back injury during a collision with a car on Saturday in Newquay.

The incident happened around 3pm at the Pydar Road junction in the town.

It involved a Blue Peugeot 106 car driven by a woman and the white Honda 125 motorbike ridden by a man. Both drivers are from Newquay.

Police are investigating how the collision occurred.

The rider was taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske, Truro, and treated for a non-life-threatening back injury.
