Firefighters called after solar panel blows off roof
A SOLAR panel has been blown off the roof of a Newquay home and landed on a parked car.
Following a night of fierce gales across Cornwall, firefighters were called to Godolphin Way at around 10am this morning.
A spokesman from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "One fire appliance from Newquay Community Fire Station attended a report of a photovoltaic solar panel that had blown off the roof of a bungalow onto a parked vehicle.
"Firefighters made safe by isolating the panel and securing it using lines."
